I had an unplanned pregnancy at age 45. I already had two other children same husband, who were 19 and 15 when I got pregnant.
I had bleeding in the first trimester, diet controlled gestational diabetes, and had no hormone shots. I delivered at 37 and 3/7 week from a car accident. He is now four, and I am 49.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.

I am hoping this reaches print. I have a story,,,,I was taking care of my Momma full time until her death, 7/11/11. I was so depressed and numb. I also have many of my own medical conditions that I was on many meds for but am down to only 2 now. ( I got so fearful watching my Momma being fed more than 20 meds a day before her death, I wanted to deal with as much as my body can with less meds and more physical therapy, meditation, stretching exc,,,,) So during this time,,,,I started loosing alot of weight and going through withdrawals from certain meds. I felt very weak and tired and thought all this was due to emotions and med changes. I did keep having periods,,,,long story short,,, I am 45 and find out I am pregnant!!! My tummy seemed to pop over night and alot of movement,,,, I am in shock that I didnt know sooner,,,,, I have a feeling I am at least 5 months ( with my 3 earlier pregnancies I didnt show until around 5 or 6 months.) I am getting in tough with home birthing people and wanted to know if this has ever happened to any one else? Thank you,,, sincerely. LC.
